Diversity on your campus

Diversity is not always about skin color and gender, especially on a college campus. Have you taken the time to assess the diversity of your faculty and staff?

It is an interesting exercise and you get to know more about the people around you.

Give it a try if you do not regularly do so.

  1. I appreciate the inspiration you've given to seek out this information. Lone Star College in Texas has 6 campuses and 84,000 students this fall. They measure age, ethnicity, gender, enrollment (part-time versus full-time), and school district residency. Veterans, students with disabilities, and international students receive support on all campuses. There are clubs and organizations for various interests, academic majors, and future careers. There are organizations geared towards LGBT, African American, secular, Latino, and Vietnamese students, among others. What other measures of diversity do you recommend?
